Maeya Traditional Foods Co., Ltd. was established in 1993 for its purpose of “Contribution to farming village development and elevation of the status of women throughout improving farming lives” to promote the economy of farming village and women’s labor force. Rice candy is a local traditional food in Maehwa province used as present in special events or to pay respect to the bride and groom's family by the newly-wedded couple right after their wedding. Choi Songja, CEO of Maeya Traditional Foods Co., Ltd., was designated as Korean Traditional Food Grand Master No.83 has been putting utmost effort to deliver the taste of Rice candy and Grain syrup to coming generations.
