BABIJOA Co., Ltd. is a company setting new standards for functional grains through patented technologies. We aim to innovate the daily meals of domestic and international consumers by promoting health, taste, and convenience.
As the only functional rice manufacturer in Korea to hold HACCP, ISO 22000, and Organic Processed Food certifications all at once, we supply our flagship product, "Low-Sugar Enzyme Brown Rice"—produced using a patented triple-complex enzyme treatment—to markets worldwide.

2010
April: Established BABIJOA
2015
February: Obtained Organic Processing Certification and launched organic processed products
March: Obtained Venture Business Certification
April: Registered technology patent (Method for manufacturing functional rice using lactic acid bacteria and wild herbs)
April: Selected for "HIT 500" by the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency
June: Obtained HACCP Certification (the only company in the industry in Korea at the time)
August: Registered technology patent for functional grains and manufacturing methods
October: Started OEM supply to Pulmuone Foodmerce
November: Participated in the Canton Fair, China
December: Selected as an "Innovative Product" by the Busan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation
December: Received the New Technology Innovation Award from the Busan Venture Business Association
2017
March: Incorporated BABIJOA Co., Ltd.
April: Signed facility disinfection and pest control management contract with CESCO
October: Participated in the LA Agricultural and Marine Products Expo in the United States
November: Received a commendation from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs

January: Established a dedicated R&D department
August: Participated in KOREA FOOD SHOW

June: Received a commendation from the Mayor of Busan (Bio-Anti-aging Industry)
September: Received the Grand Prize from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (at the WITH Rice Festival)

July: Enrolled in Product Liability (PL) Insurance (Guaranteeing product safety responsibility)

January: Obtained ISO 22000 Certification

August: Obtained Certification as an Outstanding Company in Technology Evaluation (Manufacturing of functional food such as other processed grains)
2023
March: Designated as an authorized purchaser of rice for processing
June: Participated in the 41st SEOUL FOOD Exhibition
October: Launched Korea's first functional-labeled rice
2024
January: Completed Korea’s first & largest-scale export of functional rice to the U.S. (H-MART)
April: Signed an MOU between BABIJOA and Kelly's Una HK Co., Ltd.
May: Exported functional rice under a joint brand with Kelly's Cape Bop
October: Participated in the Tech Market for SMEs
2025
March: Launched enzyme-treated low-sugar brown rice products
June: Received the Gold Prize from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Organic Star Product Competition)
June: Selected as a "Busan Star Small Business"
