Since entering the underdeveloped bean paste industry 40 years ago, Daedoo Foods has grown into a well-established company that manufactures over 200 types of bean paste in cutting-edge facilities.
In addition to bean pastes, we offer a wide range of food ingredients such as rice flour and steamed grain, and finished products like bread, rice cakes, red bean paste jelly, and wagashi.
We export worldwide, promoting the flavors of Korea. In 2024, we received the $7 Million Export Award. As a company proud to be part of Korea s bean paste heritage, we aim to grow into a global brand promoting Korean taste and craftsmanship.
Our guiding principle is “mimisinseon (美味新鮮),” meaning we go beyond just making food that looks and tastes good—we commit to safe ingredients and trustworthy processes. The belief of mimisinseon is the driving force of the company s stable growth.
1983 – Iksan plant completed
1995 – Launched quarterly magazine Hwagabang and established overseas branches
2003 – Reached USD 1 million in exports; Acquired ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification; Standardized labeling system for red bean paste
2005 – Rice flour milling plant completed; Awarded the Stone Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit
2010 – Commendations from the Minister of Environment and Prime Minister
2011 – Received the USD 3 Million Export Tower Award; Commendation from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for industry advancement
2012 – HACCP certification acquired for yanggaeng (sweet red bean jelly)
2013 – HACCP certification acquired for rice cakes and breads; HACCP certification for juk (retort porridge) products; Established U.S. branch
2014 – Certified corporate research center (by KOITA and Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning)
2015 – HACCP certification acquired for breads, rice cakes, and snacks
2016 – Acquired patent for anti-staling method for rice cakes and bread using candied red bean paste (No. 10-1678905); Acquired gluten-free certification
2021 – HACCP certification for grain-based and other processed foods
2022 – Acquired vegan certification from Korea Vegan Standard Certification Center for 9 products including strong rice flour
2023 – Completed Hwagabang 2nd plant; Reached USD 5 million in exports
2024 – Awarded the USD 7 Million Export Tower
