Company introduction

SaimdangFood’s corporate philosophy is based on the principle of Yakshikdongwon (藥食同源), which means “medicine and food share the same origin.” In line with this belief, we strive to create health-beneficial foods without the use of preservatives or chemical additives, using only natural ingredients to craft our products with the utmost care.

History

2004.09 – Established traditional food manufacturing plant Saimdang Hangwa
2007.08 – Converted to “Saimdang Bokbunja Hangwa Agricultural Corporation”
2010.10 – Won awards at the Seoul World Tourism & Culinary Expo (Minister of Culture, Agriculture Minister, and KFDA Director Awards in Hangwa and Rice Cake category)
2010.11 – Began supplying in-flight meals for Asiana Airlines Business Class
2012.04 – Certified as Traditional Food No. 571 (6 Hangwa products)
2012.07 – Acquired ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification
2012.10 – Signed social welfare and food bank donation agreements with Gochang-gun
2014.01 – Constructed HACCP-certified production facility
2014.10 – Designated as a Social Enterprise
2021.07 – Newly constructed HACCP-certified facility
2023.05 – Selected as a Leading Bio-Agricultural Company in Jeollabuk-do
