SUNGCHAN FOOD is a specialized manufacturer of rice-processed foods that has been dedicated to preserving Korean rice products for over 30 years.
Guided by our three core values - "Honest Ingredients," "Precise Methods," and "Sincere Commitment" - we manufacture a diverse range of rice-based processed foods using Korean-grown rice in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do. Our product lineup includes Nurungji snacks, Nurungji porridge, and Nurungji gukbap (crispy scorched rice soup with rice). We prioritize consumer trust and satisfaction over profit, committed to producing safe and high-quality food products.

1979 Registered business name as SUNGCHAN FOOD
1999 Installed the first automated gangjeong production line
2004 Completed new Nurungji production facility and equipment
2005 Launched Nurungji products at Nonghyup Hanaro Mart
2006 Launched Nurungji products at NewCore and Kim's Club; Exported instant Nurungji soup to the USA ($40,000)
2007 Launched Nurungji products at Homever; Exported instant Nurungji soup with rice to the USA ($45,000); Obtained Traditional Food Certification for Nurungji from the Ministry of Agriculture
2008 Launched Nurungji products at FamilyMart (now CU)
2009 Obtained ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification
2010 Received a commendation from the Gyeonggi Regional SMEs and Startups
2011 Selected for the "Top 10 Excellent Rice Processed Product" (Black Bean Brown Rice Snack); Obtained G-Mark Certification from the Governor of Gyeonggi-do; Acquired a patent for the development of germinated rice technology
2013 Received a commendation from the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs
2014 Obtained MFDS HACCP Certification; Obtained Organic Processed Food Certification; Exported Black Rice Nurungji Snack with Nuts to the USA; Launched Quinoa Rice Crunch at Costco; Obtained FSSC 22000 Certification
