Organic Baeksemi is the world's first domestic rice cultivated after 20 years of research and development using traditional breeding methods. It has been cultivated since 2015 and is produced as a local specialty rice of Seokgok Agricultural Cooperative in Gokseong, Jeollanam-do. It contains low protein content of 5.3% with a savory scent and chewy texture with a rice value over 85 and an amylose content of 12+-1%. Such characteristic is helpful in maintaining a savory scent and chewy texture even after 24 hours of cooking and cooling. Baeksemi handmade nurungji processed with our own rice prides a savory taste compared to other nurungji products since it is thinly spread and baked in a cast iron cauldron. Furthermore, the elderly who couldn't enjoy traditional nurungji because of their fragile teeth can enjoy freely since it's soft compared to other Nurungji products.

Baeksemi handmade cauldron nurungji is made from organic rice grown in Gokseong, Jeollanam-do. Since 2015, an organic complex has been created managed through contract cultivation while the Baeksemi has been designated as a regional specialty rice. This is not a conventional nurungji product which mimics nurungji by pressing it but instead, has a thin and crispy texture/taste by pressing it directly from an iron cauldron by a spatula in a traditional method. It is made with patented rice that smells like nurungji making it more savory than existing Nurungji products. Also, it is 100% white rice nurungji manufactured without any additional additives.
