Company introduction

Designated as a liquor-making technician after Songjeolju was designated as 1989 Seoul intangible cultural heritage no.2. Since then, we have been putting efforts on delivering, preserving, and revitalizing Korean traditonal liquor that is gradually disappearing.
We succeeded in producing traditional distilled liquor Hanju of one of the best liquor of Joseon 'Rodujumalbityi(露酒二斗方)'. Assuming that the best method of making, teaching, and developing our traditional liquior is to create products as a cultural content, we started to work on industrializing it.
As a result of putting effort on commercializing traditional liquor and satisfying consumers' demands, we established the foundation of actively leading the trend of liquor market by launching new products.
We promise to only use high-quality ingredients, be a trustworthy company through strict quality management, and put Korean traditional liquor on the list of the best global liquors.

1992. 02. Recommendation of Hanju-making license by Korean cultural heritage conservation organization
1994. 05. Establishment of Hanju Brewery Inc. (co-developed products with Korean cultural heritage conservation organization)
1998. 07. Started selling on Airport Duty Free
1999. 07. Awarded main prize in 8-degree best liquor contest, Selected as the best Korean product
2006. 01. Launch of Koryo Insam liquor 'Koryo Hong'
2013. 05. Awarded 'outstanding prize' in traditional soju section of Korean liquor contest
